We advised call centre operator Maia Consulting, a UK based subsidiary of the leading Indian outsourcing management firm Kloog Offshore Service Private Limited, in relation to a dispute with Telefonica, which is one of the leading integrated operators in the telecommunications sector worldwide.
Telefonica disconnected the telephone lines of Kloog's offshore centres in the the UK, thereby seriously jeopardising the business continuity of its call centre operations. We were instructed to provide urgent advice to Maia and following the issue of a legal notice to Telefonica, the telephone lines were restored within 24 hours of their disconnection.
Our commercial dispute resolution team advised on all aspects of the dispute and was able to mitigate some of the business disruption issues which Maia faced as a result of the interruption to the service.
