Overview

Our Greek office was established 20 years ago and was originally situated in the centre of Athens. We relocated to the port of Piraeus in 2012 in order to be at the heart of the Greek shipping community and to help us facilitate the needs of our clients. This on-the-ground presence has led to an in-depth understanding of the market and strong relationships with those working in all parts of the industry, including P&I clubs, shipowners, charterers, salvors, banks and finance houses.   

The core focus of our Piraeus team is on commercial shipping disputes under English law, both wet and dry, backed by a wealth of experience in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation. We also provide advice and assistance on yacht, super yacht and marine insurance work as well as banking, finance and corporate transactions. Our office has consistently been ranked in tier 1 for shipping litigation by The Legal 500. We have also been recognised by Chambers Europe which describes our team as ‘very easily approachable’ and ‘very experienced’ and has ranked all three of our partners.

Our location in Greece has enhanced our international reach and we frequently provide assistance in the Mediterranean, the Balkans, Turkey and the Middle East.
