Members of the Civil Nuclear Police Federation (CNPF) are police officers who guard the UK’s nuclear power stations from threat of attack. They wear body armour, protective clothing and carry large firearms.
Many of them struggle to work until the current retirement age of 60. We are acting for the CNPF membership in a challenge to the decision to raise the retirement age to 66/67.
A claim is being made, pursuant to the Public Services Pensions Act 2013, that key emergency workers should be an exception to the proposed higher pension age. This includes gathering medical evidence and expert witness opinion to support our client’s challenge.
