Compensation secured for jogger knocked down by car
Our client, a keen jogger, was out running along a local route in high visibility clothing when she was hit by an oncoming vehicle while crossing the road. She was knocked down and sustained a fracture to the left humerus and to the left fibula.
Liability was denied by the defendant, with allegations made against our client. Investigations into the circumstances of the accident continued and a split in liability was eventually agreed.
Quantum investigations were concluded and we were able to secure a settlement of £14,100 for our client, despite a reduction in damages to reflect a split in liability.
