Pipeline mediation
Our team recently acted for the UK subsidiary of a large US pipe manufacturer in connection with a multi-party dispute in the Technology and Construction Court. The claim related to alleged defects in and liabilities arising out of the design and installation of low pressure gas pipe work at a residential development.
The legal and technical aspects of this claim were complex; we reviewed and condensed these and worked closely with well-regarded industry experts to assess our client's position. We then represented our client in an intense pre-action mediation. Although the mediation did not result in a settlement, the outcome was significant because it allowed the issues to be narrowed.
