Settlement for elderly woman injured in hotel room
Our client was an elderly lady who had been holidaying in Devon. On the day of her departure, she emptied her wardrobe and as she did so the wardrobe, which had been placed in an unstable position before her arrival, toppled over. The wardrobe knocked our client down to the floor and she suffered injuries to her ankle, shoulder and back.
The defendant hotel was quick to apologise and admit liability for the incident. Following quantum investigations, a settlement was achieved.
