We acted for a motorcyclist who had stopped at the side of the road to assist another biker who had come off his bike having lost control on a corner. Both men were off the roadway but a car came round the corner too tightly and collided with our client.
Luckily, because he was wearing leathers, his injuries were not as serious as they might have been but he suffered very significant pelvic fractures and required major surgery. He was left with permanent discomfort and a limp and his ability to run his surveying business was compromised.
We settled his claim for a sum in excess of £250,000 after a protracted battle on liability.
