Election news:

After securing an overall House of Commons majority of some 170 seats in an historic election win on Thursday 4 July, which saw the Conservatives' 'blue wall' crumble, Sir Keir Starmer has pledged that his new government will use its mandate to deliver change across the UK.

Having listened and watched as the parties set out their political pitches, released detailed manifestos and took part in a series of heated TV debates, voters now turn their attention to what the next Parliament will bring. While the economy and cost of living will remain critical themes, there are a plethora of other issues at play, from immigration and asylum, Britain’s future relationship with the EU, financial regulation, defence, security and technology to pensions, employment rights, taxation, education, health, housing, the environment and climate change.

Our election hub offers a series of insights and short commentaries from specialists across our multi-disciplinary teams to help you keep abreast of the salient issues, points of contention and likely implications of proposed legislation and commitments during the Labour Party's first 100 days at the helm.
