The high quality and broad range of Pennington Manches Cooper’s litigation expertise has been recognised in this year’s edition of The Lawyer UK Litigation 50, which positions the firm at 38 in the list of top 50 litigation law firms.
The UK Litigation 50 launched in 2019 with a groundbreaking review of the amount of revenue generated by law firms’ core litigation and arbitration practices. In addition to examining which firms were building the most robust litigation practices, it explored recent strategic moves in the disputes market around the UK.
Penningtons Manches Cooper has been expanding its contentious offering in recent years and has now reached the point where contentious work makes up more than 50 per cent of the firm’s fee income. Making its first appearance in the rankings, it is noted to have been involved in a substantial number of concluded cases in the last financial year.
There is also recognition of the breadth of Penningtons Manches Cooper’s disputes expertise with reference to its 49 litigation partners spanning a range of practice areas including employment, real estate, private client, commercial, reputation management and privacy, and personal injury and clinical negligence.
CEO David Raine said: “We're delighted to be recognised as one of the key players in the field of litigation. To be ranked in the top 50 is a significant testament to the talent and dedication of all those teams working in dispute resolution, arbitration and contentious areas of law and a reflection of the evolving character of our business."
