Penningtons Manches Cooper advises leading supplier of marine electrical systems, Energy Solutions UK Ltd, on acquisition of Oceanic Systems (UK) Ltd

The corporate team at Penningtons Manches Cooper has advised Energy Solutions UK Ltd, a leading supplier of marine electrical systems, on its acquisition of Hampshire-based marine monitoring and control systems manufacturer, Oceanic Systems (UK) Ltd.

Founded in 2003, Oceanic Systems specialises in the design and manufacturing of advanced NMEA2000®-based integrated alarm, display and control systems for various vessels, including leisure, commercial, and military. Oceanics’ flagship product, Poseidon®, is a highly regarded alarm, monitoring, and control system in the market.

Since 1996, Energy Solutions has worked with leading OEM boatbuilders, superyacht owners, and individual boaters to deliver innovative power and control systems. The acquisition enhances Energy Solutions' marine technology offerings, advancing its digital leadership within the boat-building and marine manufacturing sectors.

The Penningtons Manches Cooper team was led by corporate partner David Kendall, with support from senior associate Hannah McIlwraith and associate Holly Sergeant. The wider team included employment partner Mike Cole, corporate tax partner Kathy Potter, commercial and IP managing associate Edmund Forey, and trainee solicitors Tom Morris and Keelan Williams.
