Advising US lawyers on claim against French company
We provided a comprehensive report for a Washington DC based law firm on the available heads of loss recoverable under French law. The firm, which was pursuing litigation in the District of Colombia on behalf of its client against a French company, contacted us after reading one of our published articles on that very topic.
The report focused specifically on the similarities between the recoverable heads of loss in each jurisdiction, thus rendering the applicable law arguments raised by the defendant more or less academic. Our report was relied on at mediation and, shortly afterwards, the matter settled to the satisfaction of the US firm and its client.
