Our multi-disciplinary renewable energy and cleantech team is advising a longstanding client on an energy services agreement it is putting in place in relation to one of its manufacturing sites.
The supplier is providing a turnkey solution to finance, engineer and construct a combined heat and power (CHP) facility on the site. Once commissioned, the CHP will then be operated and maintained by the supplier, with the electricity and heat produced being utilised to fuel our client’s manufacturing processes on site.
In addition to the energy services agreement, we are negotiating various other related project documents with the supplier, including providing advice on planning issues, sub-lease arrangements and the procurement structure. The energy services agreement will provide a secure supply of clean energy and will enable significant, long-term energy cost savings for our client.
The team is being led in this matter by Graham Dixon and Tim Kittow. The wider renewable energy and cleantech practice draws together experience from a range of the firm’s areas of expertise including construction, real estate, commercial, intellectual property, finance and regulatory compliance in order to deliver specialist and tailored advice to clients.
