Our client was injured in a skiing accident on 5 April 2010 in Alpe d'Huez, France. She was descending a blue run with her husband when she was hit from behind by another skier.
She dislocated her shoulder in the accident and also injured her hand. A fracture to her shoulder was diagnosed on her return home. She had several operations and physiotherapy.
The defendant was an English national, who was insured.
Liability was denied and the defendant and her witness gave a different version of events to that of our client and her husband. Nevertheless, we were successful in negotiating a settlement, on a full liability basis, of £31,500, plus costs.
