Family partner Jane Mitchell has been named Best Lawyers' 2015-2016 Oxford Family Law 'Lawyer of the Year' by Best Lawyers International. For over 30 years, Best Lawyers has produced a guide for the legal profession and published its first international list - Best Lawyers in Canada - in 2006. It now provides lists in over 70 countries world-wide.
Best Lawyers International recognises attorneys and solicitors across the US, Canada and the UK, based on nominations from their peers and third-party evaluations. Only a single lawyer in each practice area and location is awarded the accolade of ‘Lawyer of the Year’.
A further 23 Penningtons Manches partners across the firm have been listed in Best Lawyers International 2015 including five other family partners: Jane Craig, Joanne Edwards, Kerry Fretwell, James Stewart and Anna Worwood and family senior associate Elizabeth Carson.
