The corporate team at Penningtons Manches Cooper has advised Midlands-based Acorn Motor Group on two dealership acquisitions as it continues to expand its footprint in the new and used car sales market.
The dealerships were acquired in Macclesfield from JJ Cookson Ltd, where Acorn Motor Group will become the only Kia dealership in the region, and Warrington, where it acquired a further Kia dealership from Gallagher Motor Company.
Acorn Motor Group is associated with Kia, Suzuki and MG, some of the UK’s fastest-growing car marques, and has a growing number of dealerships across the UK, including its approved service and MOT centre for Ford, and approved service centre for Citroen.
The team advising Acorn Motor Group was led by corporate partner Adam McGiveron, and included support from partner Emma Bryant, banking senior associate Andy Rushfirth, employment senior associate Charissa Upton, real estate associate Laura Gorman and corporate trainee solicitor Kajol Harrar.
