Warren Collins, personal injury partner at Penningtons Manches Cooper, has been invited to speak at the prestigious World Law Congress 2023. The event, organised by the World Jurist Association (WJA), will take place in New York City on July 20-21.
The biennial World Law Congress serves as a global platform, bringing together influential leaders, including heads of state, justices, policy makers, and lawyers to collaborate, share knowledge, and engage in discussions on pressing legal matters. The 2023 session is the twenty-eighth edition of the congress, with the headline theme of ‘Peace Through Law’, the original WJA motto.
The WJA itself is a non-governmental organisation with special consultative status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council. Recognised for its commitment to strengthening and expanding the rule of law, the WJA was established as a free and open forum for judges, lawyers, law professors, and other professionals.
Warren has been personally invited to participate as a speaker on the panel addressing personal injury law. With over 30 years of specialised experience in catastrophic injuries cases stemming from accidents, medical malpractice, assaults, and product liability, the invitation is a reflection of his acquired knowledge and expertise. Warren currently serves as the chief assessor of the Law Society Personal Injury Accreditation Panel, and is a Fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
His practice extends to global personal injury claims, with extensive experience in Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Caribbean. Warren has particular proficiency in handling US-based claims and is a leading member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), in which he is vice-chair of the International Practice Section, and immediate past co-chair (and founder) of the Spinal Cord Injury Litigation Group and past member of the Board of Governors.
Warren is also the only UK solicitor member of the US based National Trial Lawyers Top 100 and the National Crime Victim Bar Association of America.
