The corporate team at Penningtons Manches Cooper has advised Wolverhampton-based Claverley Group Limited on its acquisition of Hampshire-based exhibition design and build business, Extreme Exhibitions.
Extreme Exhibitions works with established brands at high profile events. It employs 18 staff who work from offices and a workshop in Hampshire, and will continue to operate from its current base, with all staff being retained.
The acquisition is the sixth made by Claverley Group since 2018 and follows on from the acquisitions of Children’s Magazine publisher, Kennedy Publishing; creative design and print management business, Cubiquity; business to business publisher HPCi Media; children’s magazine publisher, Signature Publishing; and business to business media marketing business, Lyonsdown.
The Penningtons Manches Cooper team advising Claverley Group was led by Birmingham corporate partner Richard Wrigley, with support from associate Hayfa Hazem. The wider team included support from corporate tax partner Oliver Gutman, pensions partner Alison Hills, commercial associate Clemency Pleming, employment associate Christina Leung, and real estate associate Ben Madden.
Claverley Group CEO, Phil Inman, commented: ‘We are delighted to have concluded the acquisition of Extreme Exhibitions. The business works with a number of high profile brands and has grown rapidly over recent years. We look forward to working with the current team to support further growth and development. I’d like to thank Richard Wrigley and the team at Penningtons Manches Cooper for their continued expertise and advice on our strategic acquisition programme.’
Richard Wrigley said: “We are delighted to have advised Claverley Group on this strategic acquisition which will support the continued growth of products and services offered by Claverley Group. We look forward to continuing to support Claverley Group in the future."
