Profile

Brónagh is a senior associate in the commercial dispute resolution team in London with particular experience in financial services disputes and complex contractual disputes. She has advised clients in relation to claims alleging the mis-selling of swaps and foreign exchange derivatives, benchmark manipulation and the misconduct of the RBS Global Restructuring Group. She has also assisted clients on compliance with UK and EU sanctions including liaising with the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation on their behalf.

Before joining Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2019, Brónagh spent over five years at a central London law firm where she trained and qualified into the banking and financial disputes team. Prior to this, she gained experience at a multinational law firm, investigating fraudulent personal injury claims.

Recent work highlights

  • Acting for a group of investment companies in a Commercial Court dispute with a major commercial bank which included allegations of misrepresentation and fraud in connection with alleged LIBOR manipulation.
  • Representing a variety of importers, exporters and manufacturers in disputes with defendant banks and brokers over the mis-selling of complex foreign exchange products.
