Varied perspectives help us to build constructive working relationships.
Khelam is an associate in the personal injury and clinical negligence team. He is based in the Birmingham office, although he acts for clients nationwide. Having worked closely with both claimants and their families, he is empathetic and sensitive to their conditions and injuries, and is attentive in supporting their needs when guiding them through the claims process.
His previous experience includes representing both UK and internationally-based claimants who have suffered from asbestos related conditions, and their families. Khelam has assisted those with debilitating respiratory conditions, including mesothelioma, asbestos-related lung cancer, asbestosis and pleural thickening, as a result of being negligently exposed to asbestos in the course of their employment. More recently, he has also assisted senior colleagues on child brain injury claims arising from medical negligence and road traffic accidents, as well as on spinal injury claims.
After completing his LLB, he achieved his Healthcare, Law and Ethics LLM with The University of Manchester, with a particular focus on the interaction between the three areas. Khelam qualified as a solicitor through the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) in September 2023 with The University of Law. He joined the firm in 2024.
