Kitty is an associate in the private client team, specialising in contentious trusts and probate. She acts on an array of trust and estate litigation issues including claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, will validity disputes, disputes around the removal of trustees and personal representatives, as well as estate and trust administration disputes, including claims relating to proprietary estoppel and breach of trust.
She also advises on contentious applications in the Court of Protection involving vulnerable individuals, including statutory will applications and attorney/deputyship disputes.
After studying history at the University of Cardiff, Kitty joined the firm as a trainee in 2019 and qualified as a solicitor in 2021. She is a full member of the Society of Trusted Estate Practitioners (STEP), the world’s leading organisation for private wealth professionals, and also a member of the Contentious Trusts Association (ConTrA). Within the firm, Kitty sits on Penningtons Manches Cooper’s CSR committee, as well as the NextGen committee.
