Profile

Gemma is a senior associate in the employment team, based in the firm’s Birmingham office. She is also a member of the specialist Police Federation team.

She advises clients on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, in particular, on cases involving discrimination, whistleblowing claims and regulatory issues. Gemma has represented clients across a number of sectors including policing, housing associations, high street retail, equestrian, aviation and banking.

Gemma joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2020. She qualified as a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2016 and subsequently has become dual qualified as a solicitor. Previously, Gemma has worked both in-house and for a leading regional law firm. She is a member of the Penningtons Manches Cooper corporate social responsibility sub-committee and a member of the Employment Lawyer Association.
