Profile

Josepha is an associate in the commercial real estate team in London. 

She advises on a broad range of matters ranging from acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold properties for investment, retail and development purposes, to real estate financing and landlord and tenant matters. Josepha acts on behalf of clients in several sectors including private investment, development, institutional investment and retail. 

Her expertise extends to acting for developers, individuals and local authorities on a range of planning law matters, including public inquiries, section 106 and section 278 agreements, the Community Infrastructure Levy and compulsory purchase orders. Josepha has worked at Penningtons Manches Cooper since 2017, and qualified as a solicitor in 2019.

  • Advising a large pension fund on a number of lettings, purchases and disposals.
  • Advising on the development, site set up and running of the sales project at two of Birmingham’s largest city centre residential property schemes with a combined value in excess of £120 million.
  • Representing various landowners on the settlement of disputes relating to rights to light, scaffolding and oversailing in central London locations.
  • Representing a developer in planning appeal proceedings concerning the conversion of an abandoned nursery into 53 dwellings.
  • Advising a statutory undertaker on the compulsory purchase of a site.
  • Advising various developers on acquiring sites and finance for development purposes.
