Alice is an associate in the clinical negligence team in Guildford. She represents clients across a diverse range of clinical negligence cases, including claims against NHS trusts, private clinicians, and GPs.
She has experience in supporting individuals with a range of life-changing issues, including lower limb amputations, sepsis, surgical errors, fatal claims, delays in diagnosis of cancer claims, and ophthalmic and orthopaedic negligence claims. Alice also assists on high value, complex cases of maximum severity, such as birth injury cases, including cerebral palsy, spinal injuries, including cauda equina, and complex neurological issues.
Alice joined the firm in 2024 as an associate, having spent seven years at a large national law firm. She qualified as a solicitor in 2020.
Recent work highlights
- Independently running a multi-million-pound case, securing a full liability admission in relation to a delay in diagnosis of septic hip arthritis in a young mother.
- Supporting a mother with her stillbirth claim, reaching swift settlement with an early letter of notification. Together, they took part in an ITV television interview to raise awareness of recognising pre-eclampsia in pregnancy.
- Securing settlement on a complex case with three defendants in which a delay in treatment of a diabetic foot ulcer led to amputation for the client, who sadly lost capacity part way through proceedings.
- Securing an early admission on a delayed diagnosis of vaginal vault cancer case, with substantial quantum.
- Achieving an out of court settlement on a complex surgical error case involving the negligent doctoring of a consent form.
