Ellen is an associate in the marine, trade and aviation team in London. She assists with a broad range of shipping matters including charter party disputes, bill of lading claims, and admiralty claims. Her experience also extends to working on aviation and insurance matters, with a focus on insurance and reinsurance litigation.
She represents shipowners, charterers and insurers, as both claimants and defendants. Ellen has experience in multiple forums, including London arbitration and the High Court. She is currently involved in the multi-billion dollar aviation insurance litigation arising out of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Ellen joined the firm in 2020 as a paralegal in the commercial dispute resolution team and subsequently commenced her training contract in 2021. She qualified as a solicitor in 2023. Prior to this, Ellen studied geography at Durham University before completing the Legal Practice Course at BPP, graduating with distinction.
