Areas of expertise: Employment, Employment

Profile

Paul is a partner and the head of Penningtons Manches Cooper's employment team. He qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and advises on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment and partnership matters and is recognised, in particular, for his expertise in boardroom disputes, employment status issues and restrictive covenants/injunctions.

He works for a wide range of private sector employers from a major international fast food retailer to financial institutions and, in addition, acts for senior employees and partners, frequently in relation to employment discrimination claims.

Paul has been described by the legal directories as 'an iron fist in a velvet glove', as someone who displays 'excellent knowledge and experience' and someone clients say they 'would rather have with us than against us'. He has appeared on television and in the broadsheets on employment law issues and is co-author of various sections of Tolley's Termination of Employment Handbook.
