Simon heads the real estate team in Oxford and advises companies and individuals on all aspects of commercial property law. He acts for a number of developers and current schemes in which he is involved range from a small development of 10 houses to a mixed use scheme comprising 600 residential units, a 500 space multi storey car park, 40,000 sq ft nightclub, 40,000 sq ft bowling complex, 120 bedroom hotel, some commercial units and a roof top bar.

Historically much of Simon’s work was in the retail and leisure sector, helping corporate tenants with fast ‘roll out’ programmes including a gym operator, a well-known high street fashion brand and the largest convenience store in the UK. He currently acts for a global Starbucks franchisee and at last count his team had 35 drive-through sites under contract.

The Oxford real estate team has operated in the local market for years and with strong local connections is well placed to advise those looking to invest/acquire property in the area. It advises in many different sectors but due to location is the first choice for those in the life sciences, technology and education sectors. The team has developed close relationships with various Oxford colleges and is always looking for opportunities to assist others. It knows the local business and science parks well and is currently dealing with very significant lettings on most of the local parks.

Outside work Simon is a keen windsurfer and sailor.
